Trying out Norbert’s Gambit in Wealthsimple.

Norbert’s Gambit testing complete! I ended up getting more than the estimated amount, totalling CAD 14,260 via Norbert’s Gambit vs. CAD 14,027 if converted via the Wealthsimple app directly. TL;DR: Converting USD 10,000 to CAD via Norbert Gambit’s saved me ≈ CAD 230. Gonna be converting more as the exchange rate seems favourable at the moment.

Tried doing a Norbert’s Gambit for the first time with @Wealthsimple to convert some USD into CAD. Converting USD 10,000 via Norbert Gambit’s would get me ≈ CAD 14,200, but if I were to do it from the app directly, I would get ≈ CAD 14,000. The process took a bit of time to figure out, but it felt pretty straightforward nonetheless. Will report back after the conversion finalizes in a few days and see if I’m getting the amount displayed.
